For centuries artistic souls have been drawn to Provence by a powerful, personal magic. Van Gogh, Cezanne, Matisse were lured by the luscious light and sensuous landscape to inspire their painting. Writers, Camus, Fitzgerald and Colette—thrived on the rich quality of time.
In 2000, it was that personal magic that brought us, an American artist/painter and a writer, to come here and make a new life. Over the years, the painting workshops and cooking classes we created have brought people from around the world, and many of them return as regulars.
We invite you here to Saignon, a little medieval village on a giant rock; to join us at La Maison des Arts et Lettres. Here you can immerse yourself in a personal world of painting, writing, culture, history and cuisine, gently ruled by the senses.
